Control Box IQ20

tl_files/Produkty/MCHP/Akcesoria/Szafka Sterownicza - Kopia.png

Control Box IQ20 is an essential element of your cogenertion system. Each unit controls one XRGI cogeneration unit. The Control Box connects the electric generator to the electric grid, and also protects your CHP plant from voltage swings. The IQ-series Control Box provides you:

  • Regulation of your XRGI cogeneration unit

  • Adjustment of the power output of the electric generator

  • Monitoring and registering the fuel consumption, electricity production and heat production

  • Administration of data

  • Communication with other XRGI components

IQ20 Control Box can be installed in the same room, where the XRGI cogeneration unit is installed.

Flow Regulator Q60

Q60 Flow Regulator is another key element of your cogeneration system. XRGI cogeneration units works similar to the petrol engine in every car. Every car engine needs cooling and the same is true of the piston engines in XRGI units. Q60 flow regulator directs the waste heat from the engine into your heating installation or hot sanitary water installation. Q60 Flow Regulator provides you:

  • Separation of the engine cooling circuit and the hot sanitary water circuit.

  • Regulation of the engine temperature

  • Regulation of the heating water parametres

  • Management of your heat storage

Q60 Flow Regulator is installed next to the cogeneration unit.

Heat Storage Tank

tl_files/Produkty/MCHP/Akcesoria/Nowy bufor.jpg

Heat Storage Tank is a crucial element of every cogeneration system. The Heat Storage Tank is a large water container covered with thermal insulation. The Heat Storage Tank accumulates heat from the cogeneration unit at the time of the low heat demand and releasesthe stored heat at the time of low electricity demand and high heat demand. The Heat Storage tank has to be included in the cogeneration system for several reasons:

  • Ensures a steady heat outflow from the engine cooling circuit

  • Supplies additional heat at the time of peak demand

  • Supplies hot water at the time, when the engine is off.

  • Enables variable load operation adapted to varying electricity demand

  • Increases the useful life of the cogeneration unit by reducing the number of on/off cycles

  • Enables a more efficient, full load operation of the engine and electric generator

The Heat Storage Tank has to be installed near the engine unit. The project of the cogeneration system has to take into account the floor area for at least one Heat Storage Tank.

Heat Storage Tank Control Box

tl_files/Produkty/MCHP/Akcesoria/SterownikBufora.png

The Heat Storage Tank Control Box (01ELT2034) is necessary for the correct operation of the cogeneration system. The Heat Storage Tank Control Box provides:

  • Management of the inflows and outflows from the Heat Storage Tank

  • Regulation of the waste heat management

  • A supply of additional heat at the time of peak heat demand

  • Enables variable load operation adapted to varying electricity demand

  • Increases the efficiency and service life of the installation by reducing the number of on/off cycles

The Heat Storage Tank Control Box has to be installed near the Heat Storage Tank.

Flow Master

Flow Master is the next important element of your cogeneration system. Flow Master consists of an big diameter electric-driven valve and a variable-speed water pump. Flow Master directs the water from the Flow Control to your installation, or to the Heat Storage Tank. Flow Master is the heart of your cogeneration system - it manages the real water flow in your system.

  • Flow Master supplies hot water to the final users

  • Flow Master pumps the hot water through your installation

  • Flow Master draws heat from the Heat Storage Tank at the time of increased heat demand

  • Flow Master directs the excess heat into the Heat Storage Tank at the time of decreased heat demand

Flow Master is installed between the Flow Control and the rest of your installation.

Flow Master Control Box

tl_files/Produkty/MCHP/Akcesoria/Sterownik przeplywu.jpg

Flow Master Control Box (01ELT2031) is another essential component of your cogeneration system. Flow Master Control Box manages the hydraulic components of the Flow Master. Flow Master Control Box provides you:

  • Automatic adjustment of the electric power of the XRGI units to fit the actual demand for electricity

  • Management of the Heat Storage and thus provides the additional heat at the time of peak demand

  • Supply of the hot water regardless of whether the engines are on or off

  • Increased efficiency and service life of the cogeneration units by reducing the number of on/off cycles

The Flow Master Control Box has to be installed near the Flow Master.

Recommended Accessories

Smart Starter

The Smart Starter is an motor soft starter - an electric appliance, which enables a smooth start of the cogeneration unit. Under normal circumstances the engine of a cogeration unit requires high electric current during the start. Smart Starter starts the engine slowly, thus limiting the maximal current. Smart Starter is necessary for these cogeneration systems, which will be installed in places with restricted maximal electric current.

Load Management Box

tl_files/Produkty/MCHP/Akcesoria/Rozdzielacz Obciazenia.jpg

Load Management Box (01ELT2006) is necessary for cogeneration systems consisting of multiple XRGI units, which are designed to cover variable electric load. Load Management Box enables sequential start-up of the cogeneration units thus limiting the the maximal electric current. The Load Management Box also divides the total demand for electricity between the cogeneration units to ensure the optimal load of each unit. The Load Management Box provides:

  • Adjustment of the electric power of each unit to keep the demand for electricity fully covered.

  • Reduction of the start-up electric current of your system, which is necessary for many systems

  • Management of the operating conditions of each unit

Load Management Box shall be installed in the vicinity of the cogeneration units.
